Meet the Co-Chairs
True progress can be made when leaders work together towards a common purpose. The Reykjavík Global Forum ? Women Leaders is just 25 days away, and we would like to introduce you to some of our distinguished Co-Chairs.
These accomplished leaders include: Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Prime Minister of Iceland, Michelle Bachelet, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and Pedro Sánchez, President of the Government of Spain.
Our Co-Chairs have advised on the Forum programme and have ensured that this year’s convening will be one of our best.
Congratulations to Conversationist Maria Ressa!
Our network of Conversationists is a venerable who’s who of world leaders and pioneers. Journalist Maria Ressa is no exception. She was TIME Magazine’s 2018 Person of the Year and a Reykjavík Global Forum Conversationist in both 2019 and 2020.
For her efforts to safeguard freedom of expression, Maria Ressa is now the co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize 2021. Let’s take a look back to her discussion on the role of journalism.

Meeting you wherever you are
In-person, in global gatherings, and online, we invite you to be a part of compelling conversation and meaningful action.
Visit the global leader for equality
In 2021, our community will once again come together in Iceland, a bastion of women’s leadership. Join us in-person from 8-10 November and have the opportunity to hear from some of the world’s most accomplished and influential leaders.
Engage closer to home
In coordination with Icelandic embassies and strategic partners around the globe, Reykjavík Conversations are designed to bring our community alive in your region.
Conversationists will have the opportunity to view Reykjavík Global Forum sessions and collaborate with leaders, share best practices and develop new strategies to drive progress.
Connect wherever you are
If you are unable to join any of these in-person options, we will once again virtually broadcast many of our Reykjavík Global Forum sessions on our website and social media channels.
Where will you #PowerTogether for progress?
