The Reykjavík Global Forum was launched in November, 2018, in Reykjavík, Iceland, as the Women Leaders Global Forum under the heading Power, Together. The Forum is annually co-hosted by Women Political Leaders (WPL), and the Government and Parliament of Iceland. Consistently ranked as the leading country on the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report, Iceland is the perfect location for the most relevant Forum for women leaders.

The Reykjavík Global Forum is where women leaders discuss and share ideas and solutions on how to further advance society.

Each year, the Forum invites 450 leaders from around the globe, including Presidents, Prime Ministers, Parliamentarians, leaders from business, academia, civil society, arts, media and more. Those who have broken the glass ceiling, experts who lead the way in their respective fields, leaders and visionaries inspired by and inspiring their peers.

The 2018 Forum witnessed the launch of the Reykjavik Index. The index measures how people feel about women in power, it subsequently went on to be selected #BestofDavos at this year’s World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos.

This year the Forum is held on 18-20 November 2019. The 3-day programme starts with a Welcome Reception hosted by the President of Iceland and is followed by a series of impactful plenary conversations, inspiring LeaderTalks and will be streamed live on CBSN. It will also see the launch of the Community of Actions, which will create measurable change.
