WOMEN’S WORLD ATLAS
More than half of the world’s population is female.
So we should see an equal distribution of political and business power? In which countries are women and men at par?
To provide a graphic illustration of the divide that persists between women and men across multiple sectors of society, the Reykjavík Global Forum – Women Leaders has developed the Women’s World Atlas (WWA) which is powered by McKinsey & Company.
In 2020, they show us that while there is improvement for women’s participation in tertiary education, women remain underrepresented in politics and business. They highlight how equality in higher levels of leadership is still severely lacking.
The WWA points to the continued need for all those who are in leadership positions, women and men to Power, Together to bring equality between women and men to their respective sectors.
To see what’s wrong in the world, there’s no better way than to visualise it.
