On 13-14 November 2023, the Government of Iceland, and the Parliament of Iceland co-host the sixth annual Reykjavík Global Forum in partnership with Women Political Leaders (WPL).
Attracting hundreds of Conversationists each year, the Forum offers a unique lens into the best practices and proven solutions that leaders are deploying across sectors to achieve parity. We work with some of the most influential leaders, compelling speakers, and innovative problem solvers in the world.
Digital Technology & Generative AI: The opportunities and challenges of the next generation of digital technology, including generative AI, privacy and the impact of disinformation on democracy.
The Future of Cities: How cities are innovating to create more equitable spaces for their citizens, including the impacts of climate change.
The Reykjavik Index: For the sixth year, the Index will be introduced by Kantar Public, including a breakout analysis on the Nordic countries, which generally score higher for gender equality. The forum will highlight additional global research studies that intersect with the Index
Co-chairs represent both the public and private sectors, international organisations, academia and science, as well as civil society and social entrepreneurship, taking into account a balance of geographical representation. Their role is to act as ambassadors and advocates for the Forum, its mission, community, and initiatives, as well as to advise on its activities, guaranteeing a multi-stakeholder approach to the programme and the positive influence of the conference.
